## How mccloudCo handles your data
How mccloudCo collects, uses, and protects information from visitors, prospective clients, and clients of the Education Practice and Strategic Advisory Practice.

### 1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how **\[mccloudCo legal entity name\]** ("mccloudCo," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with mccloudco.com, our consultations and diagnostics, and our ongoing advisory engagements through the Education Practice and Strategic Advisory Practice.
This policy covers information collected directly from you — as a website visitor, a prospective client requesting a consultation, or a client under an active engagement. It does not cover information mccloudCo processes on a client's behalf as part of a specific engagement (for example, student records reviewed during a district diagnostic, or business records reviewed during an IT audit); that information is governed by the agreement and any data processing terms with that client, not by this policy.
### 2. Information We Collect
**Information You Provide Directly**
- **Contact information** — name, email address, phone number, organization name, and role, when you request a consultation, email Client Concierge, or fill out a form on our site.
- **Engagement information** — details you share during a diagnostic or consultation about your organization, goals, and budget, used to recommend a tier and prepare a Statement of Work.
- **Communications** — the content of emails, calls, and messages exchanged with mccloudCo staff.
**Information Collected Automatically**
- **Usage data** — pages visited, time on page, referring URL, and general navigation patterns on mccloudco.com.
- **Device and browser information** — IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system.
- **Cookies and similar technologies** — as described in Section 5.
mccloudCo does not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as health information, precise geolocation, or government ID numbers) through mccloudco.com itself. Sensitive information encountered during a client engagement is handled under that engagement's specific agreement, not general website collection.
### 3. How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries, schedule consultations, and prepare diagnostics and Statements of Work.
- To deliver, manage, and support active client engagements.
- To send engagement-related communications, such as monthly progress summaries or scheduling updates.
- To improve mccloudco.com and understand how visitors use it.
- To meet legal, accounting, and contractual obligations.
- With your consent, to send occasional updates about mccloudCo services — you can opt out at any time.
mccloudCo does not sell personal information, and does not use website visitor data for third-party advertising purposes.
### 4. How We Share Information
mccloudCo does not sell personal information to third parties. Information is shared only in the following circumstances:
- **Service providers** — vendors who support our operations (e.g., scheduling software, email delivery, accounting platforms), bound by contract to use information only to provide that service.
- **Legal requirements** — when required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of mccloudCo, our clients, or others.
- **Business transitions** — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
- **With your direction** — when you ask us to share information with a specific third party, such as a board member reviewing a proposal.
### 5. Cookies & Tracking
mccloudco.com uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand how it's used:
- **Essential cookies** — required for basic site functionality.
- **Analytics cookies** — to understand aggregate visitor behavior.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality. mccloudCo **\[does / does not — confirm before publishing\]** currently respond to browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control.
### 6. Data Retention
mccloudCo retains personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy: for the duration of an active engagement, for a reasonable period afterward to support any follow-on work, and as required to meet legal, tax, or contractual recordkeeping obligations. Website inquiry data from prospects who do not become clients is retained for a limited period and then deleted or de-identified.
### 7. How We Protect Information
mccloudCo maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we handle, including least-privilege access, encrypted credential storage, and a documented incident response process. A full summary of mccloudCo's security practices is available on request from Client Concierge, and is provided routinely to clients for their own vendor risk or insurance documentation needs.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While mccloudCo takes reasonable steps to protect personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
### 11. Children's Privacy
mccloudco.com is intended for administrators, business leaders, and other adults evaluating or engaging mccloudCo's services. It is not directed to children, and mccloudCo does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website, consistent with the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information through the site, we will delete it.
### 13. Changes to This Policy
mccloudCo may update this policy from time to time, including to reflect the APDPA's effective date or other legal developments. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted on this page; continued use of mccloudco.com after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Note
Customer-managed encryption keys are available on Enterprise plans only. Talk to your account team before enabling them — rotation cannot be reversed without a re-encryption window.

Deleting a workspace purges its lineage history after a 30-day grace period. Export any evidence you need for audits before the workspace is removed.
